In an organization, administrator will configure some customize setting on web browser. They need to restrict user from changing their customized setting.
Here i will teach your how to set restriction in Firefox.
I had found an interesting Firefox add-on called “Public Fox” which allows you to set various restrictions in Mozilla Firefox.

This Add-on allow us to restrict the following setting:
- Restrict Downloads in Mozilla Firefox
- Restrict Add-ons in Mozilla Firefox
- Restrict Options in Mozilla Firefox
- Restrict about:config in Mozilla Firefox
- Restrict Addition of Bookmarks in Mozilla Firefox
- Restrict History and Bookmarks Sidebar in Mozilla Firefox
- Restrict “Clear Private Data” window in Mozilla Firefox
Once you install it, you can access it using
“Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions“. Select the add-on (Public Fox) from the list and Click on ” Option” (Windows)
“Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions“. Select the add-on (Public Fox) from the list and Click on ” Preferences” (Mac OS X)
After that, you will see the screen shot as show below, you can set various restrictions using a Password. After applying the restriction, whenever you’ll try to access a restricted feature, you’ll be prompted to enter the password.
