I failed to burn a data into DVD. I prompt out an error message “An unexpected error occured, error code 0×80020000 my computer has a problem verifying the disc.” I tried to change few blank DVD to burn, it still return the same error message. what was going on?

I tried to “googling”, i found that a lot of people facing to same problem. Some of people said that do the Repair Disk permissions able to solve this issue. But it does not work with me.

So, i decided to modify the file names. After i change the file name, i able to burn all my data files to DVD. But i not sure this is the correct solution or not. But it work for me. Please leave comment if you have other solution on this problem. Thank you in advanced.

Fail to clear print queue on Mac OS X

December 11th, 2009 by @HKw@! | No Comments | Filed in Mac OS X

I have 1 iMac using 10.4.11 and share out printer for 1 Windows PC. Today when i try to print, the print dialogue show that the JOBS STOPPED. When i try to go to printer utilities to start the printer, it show that a lot of print job queue.

In order to make the print job start again, i need to delete all the print job and start the print job again. I tried to delete the print on printer utilities and start the printer, but the print job that i deleted appear again. If I delete that job & try to reprint, I get the same thing – Jobs Stopped even i restart the computer.

To solve this issue, i need to kill the print job from terminal. Below are the step that i did:-

1. Open Utilities, then select Terminal.

2. On the Terminal, type the following command:

cancel -a

and press enter.

This command will kill all pending print jobs. After that, i able to print my stuff already. :-)
