One of my friend called me on last week regarding his wireless Airport password. He forgotten his wireless Airport password. He checked the “remember this network” option when he first connected wireless few month ago.
A lot of people do not like to remember their password. They just simply save their password. Actually all the password that they saved will remain in Keychain Access. We can retrieve it using Keychain Access utility.
Below are the steps:-
Step 1: Launch the Keychain Access utility.
- Open Keychain Access (you can get to it by choosing Utilities from the Go menu in the Finder) or (press command+space to launch your spotlight and type keychain Access to find it).
- Just click on Keychain Access icon to launch the application
When you launch this utility, you’ll be presented with a list of all the passwords you’ve told your computer to remember
Step 2: Get info on the password item that you are looking for
- Just Scroll down the main window to find the password item you need.
- Select “Get Info” from the file menu to see the entry details. You can also double-click the entry to quickly bring up the details.
Step 3: Click on the “Show password” option.
- Click on the “Show password” button. A screen will pop out to require you to enter the login keychain password. (usually your Mac login password)
- Just enter the password and click Allow button
- Now your password will show at the show password text box
P/S:- Besides the wireless Airport password, you still can find your email password, shared folder password, samba password, user account login password and other saved password.
