How to remove Sysinternals Antivirus

Sysinternals Antivirus is a rogue program. These malware application try to sell you their software by making you think that you PC is infected by the malware. Sysinternals Antivirus is installed through the use of Trojans that display fake security alerts and pop-ups on the computer. While running, Sysinternals Antivirus will scan your computer it detect harmless of Windows system files as malware but will not allow you to remove them until you purchase the program.

How to remove Sysinternals Antivirus?

One of the free anti malware software called Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware can detect and remove this rogue application.

  • Download Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware to your desktop.
  • Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the on screen instruction to install the program.
  • At the end, be sure a check-mark is placed next to the following:
    • Update Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware
    • Launch Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware
  • Then click Finish.
  • Once the program has loaded, select Perform quick scan, then click Scan.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected. Reboot your computer if prompted.
  • When completed, a log will open in Notepad. The rogue application should now be gone.
