How to increase usable ram in Windows 7

January 31st, 2011 by quah67 | No Comments | Filed in Win7

I have this problem ever since i bought my PC with Asus motherboard on it. I have 4Gb ram installed on the motherboard but only 3.0Gb is usable. Therefore, I’ve tried to install a Windows 7 64-bit OS. The problem was not solved even after I’ve upgraded to Windows 7 64-bit. I’ve dig around in the Bios and found a solution as below.

1 Press del to enter BIOS
2 Choose the Advanced tab
3 Then, choose Chipset Settings
4 Enable Memory Reamp Feature
5 Exit and Save
6 You’re Done!
