A) Command key + Shift + 3
- Hold down Command key + Shift + 3 simultaneously to get takes a screenshot of the full screen
- If your audio is turn on, you will hear a click similar to that of a camera.
- You will then find a picture on your desktop entitled “Picture N” ,n being the first unused number.
B) Command key + Shift + 4
- To capture a portion of the desktop screen, just hold down Command key + Shift + 4
- A cross-hair cursor will appear and now you can click and drag to capture the selected area .
- Once you release the mouse button, the selected screen shot will be saved as a picture file on your desktop.
C) Command key + Shift + 4, then spacebar, then click a window
- To capture a specific application window, just press Command + Shift + 4 (Apple key + Shift + 4)
- The mouse cursor will change to symbol + . Then press the Spacebar and a camera icon will appear.
- Move the cursor over the window where you want to capture, click the mouse button and the screen shot will be saved as a PNG file on your desktop.
